Equipment: 4 cones.
Set Up: The 4 cones are five, four, and five yards apart from each other for a total of 14 yards.
Pattern: It is a straight line drill. The athlete runs to the first cone, turns to shuffle to the next cone, and then turns and runs to the last cone. Hit the brakes and return to the start. Run, shuffle, run.
Description: The middle 4 yards are always shuffle and the outside 5 yards are always run.
Coaching Q: Instruct the athletes to "fly" into the turns in the middle section. Avoid a mechanical, rigid turn.
